Melody Thomas-Scott, President
Melody Thomas-Scott brings to
her clients over 15 years of experience in public relations, marketing,
meeting/event planning, special event management, travel assistance and
professional organizing/planning. Melody is a proven leader with
integrity and the ability to effectively get the job done in a timely
manner.
Melody founded Project
Creativity formally in 2005. Prior to forming the company, she
provided public relations, meeting/event planning, management and
related services through past employment opportunities. Some of these
employment opportunities were in the fields of telecommunications,
healthcare and consulting firms among others.
In early 2005, Melody
realized something was missing in the way clients were being serviced by
healthcare institutions, corporations and private firms. Clients
were forced to contract with multiple firms to receive all of the
assistance they needed. Based on years of knowledge and experience,
Melody envisioned the value in integrating her areas of expertise into
one dynamic field - Enhanced Public Relations. This integration provides an array of services
offered within one company, Project Creativity. Project Creativity has
become a leader within the Metropolitan Area (Maryland, Virginia and the
District of Columbia) based on the Enhanced Public Relations services it
has to offer.
Melody’s philosophy of doing
business with all persons, consultants, firms, small/large companies, healthcare
institutions and nonprofit organizations enables all sectors to benefit
from her integrated and creative services. This, in addition to her
having the mindset of assisting and serving clients, has been the backbone
of her success. A personal element of humanity is reflected in her work
with clients as all services are tailored to the specific needs and desires
of clients to provide outstanding service with maximum results.
Melody holds a degree in
Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. As a certified event
and meeting planner, she knows what it takes to successfully plan every
detail, negotiate well-defined contracts to secure quality service
providers and manage projects to ensure maximum results. Additionally,
Melody holds a diploma in stress management and has taken various
courses in relationship building, copywriting, and public relations.
With this combination of advanced higher education and years of work
experience, her value and satisfaction to clients is well beyond their expectations.
Melody’s professional
interpersonal
skills have made her a leader in developing and maintaining
relationships, professional partnerships and networks. On several occasions, she was
considered the public relations specialist in secular employment primarily
for her talent in diffusing hostile situations to maintain a highly
respected reputation for an organization. Her copywriting and the
development of newsletters, brochures, flyers and other promotional
materials for use as marketing and/or training collaterals has increased
sales and proven to create powerfully effective tangibles for distribution creating a
professional presence well after a physical presence.
Serving on
various regional and local community committees, she takes an
active role in community development initiatives and assists in
promoting community activities and awareness. Creative press releases
and promotional activities have primarily generated community
participation surpass estimated goals.
In every secular position
held, Melody
always created new and innovative programs that would further enhance
the organization. Her successful leadership in each position ignited her entrepreneurial spirit
which motivated her to develop a great company which serves all
individuals, public/private companies and for-profit/nonprofit
organizations. She and the consultants of Project Creativity see their
work as their greatest joy, gift, and accomplishment. |
